With one of northern Europe’s biggest airports and the Nordic region’s largest port, coupled with extensive investments in infrastructure, Gothenburg is recognised as the leading logistics location in Sweden.
A few years ago 1 000 000 square metres of land was dedicated to establishing warehousing and logistics facilities just 10 minutes from the quayside - and with Volvo Group as the closest neighbour - at the Port of Gothenburg Logistics Park. Elsewhere in the region, large areas are also available for development. This is just one example of how the city’s aim to grow and expand is converted into real opportunity.
30% of Sweden’s foreign trade passes through the port as well as 60% of the country’s container traffic.
Every week more than 100 vessels dock at the port, carrying cargo from every corner of the world.
70% of Scandinavia’s industry and population can be reached within 500 km including the capitals Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen.
70 trains per day arrive and leave the port of Gothenburg to transfer container goods.
